I’m Sara—a public school teacher, mental health advocate, and founder of Sunshine Mind Shop. With years of classroom experience, I truly understand the ups and downs that come with teaching. Like many educators, I’ve faced burnout, but after weathering an especially tough time, I came to a powerful realization: no matter how rough the storm, the sun will always rise again—and so can we. That’s what inspired me to start Sunshine Mind Shop. It’s a place where teachers can find cute, affordable outfits and uplifting products designed to brighten their spirits. Our goal is to help you shine inside and out!

Our Story
Sunshine Mind Shop was born from the heart of a fourth-grade teacher and mental health advocate who deeply understands the resilience of educators—the true, yet often unsung, heroes of our communities. After navigating the everyday struggles of balancing the demands of teaching with personal well-being, Sara found solace in the belief that no matter how tough the day, "the sun will rise again." It was this heartfelt realization that inspired her to create a place where teachers could find not just fashion, but also meaningful support for their mental health.
Sunshine Mind Shop is more than just a store; it's a movement rooted in the holistic well-being of educators. Each product is thoughtfully chosen to bring warmth, joy, and renewal to teachers' lives. Our mission is simple: to uplift and empower teachers so they can continue to shine brightly—because when teachers thrive, their students do too.

The Teacher Care Club is a passionate nonprofit initiative founded by Sara, also the visionary behind Sunshine Mind Shop. Our mission is centered on enhancing the lives of educators through targeted health, wellness, and social connection opportunities. We provide free opportunities in the Charleston area designed to elevate teacher morale, promote mental and physical well-being, and foster a sense of community among educators. By empowering teachers, we aim to create a ripple effect that enhances their effectiveness in the classroom and enriches the educational experience for students everywhere.
